Unexpectedly SERP is being shown differently on different browsers. Chrome shows my site on #1 but Firefox shows on #4. Yes, I'm sure.

Could be a couple of things:

1 - the different browser could be hitting a different datacenter for the search thus producing different results
2 - If you are logged in to Google when you search this can show different results as they shuffle the results around a bit

Did you ensure to disable web history? (Applies when using Google in Firefox) Try doing so, as I did.

Try to clear you cache and cookies on both web browsers. always remember to clear first your history before SERP. also you have to log out from google and google instant is off on both browser.

You should have to delete your browser cookies before searching because its not a browser issue.

SERP = Search Engine Results Page

Firstly you logout of your google account else google will display personalized search results based on search history. I guess you are logged into google on one browser but not on another, so you are getting different rankings.

Secondly I suggest you to clear both chrome and firefox browser history and cookies. This should work.

You can alternatively check rankings using some free online ranking tools.
