Browser Toolbar

    Can anyone here teach me simple way on how I can go about developing a toolbar for both the IE and Firefox browsers?

    I want a user to able to type in something on the toolbar which will in turn input the text into my site's search box.

    Your help would be greatly appreciated.

    I don't know about IE but in Firefox it's done by making an extension that makes use of XUL (based on XML), javascript, css and RDF. You can have a search at Mozilla.org for more info and here's a nice site about it:
