I have come across a very strange problem. When I search for "my keyword" with Firefox my sites appear 1st and 2nd (indented). The same search for IE 6 & 7 results in being only 3rd. I have checked proxies and that i am at same domain etc. Anyone got any ideas why? [edit] Could be cookie based?
Are you loggen in to Google in either of the two browers? If so, perhaps you're seeing personal results on either?
I am logged in with the same account but I use firefox more and have turned the personalised search beta off.
Do you have SafeSearch filtering enabled? http://www.google.co.uk/preferences?hl=en Replace .co.uk with your country preference... (e.g. .com, .de, .pl)
Strange. The only difference I've seen in SERP between browsers was when SS was disabled in one browser but enabled in the other. Unless a different data centre is used by each browser?
