Browser Drama! Have you seen this problem before?

My company had websites that are built using tables instead of css. I'm trying to change that but for now I have a huge problem. A few coworkers see certain pages as broken in different browsers but it's just them, their computer. I can check it in the same OS, same browser version on a different computer and it looks fine. I've check to make sure the browser isn't zoomed, no settings were touched (they wouldn't know how likely), everything is refreshed, and no one is messing with code presently. It's really weird. It looks fine on their computer in other browser too. Not sure what to do other than try to reinstall the browser or have the IT guy check for virus? Have you ever heard of this problem?? A virus that does this? I know the company had a virus problem before I got there but it didn't seem related to this and even if it was, why just these 3 people? Any ideas?

Are the browser versions of the coworkers and the version you checked same?

hmmm, it is so weird and very hard to guess the issue. I suspect a computer worm, trojan horse or a virus has caused this. Do your coworkers experience this for other websites also?

That's a good question, I'll check that. They see it on other sites owned by us but it would be good to know if it happens for other sites.

We did have a virus on our server before I showed up, maybe they caught one too??

I'm pretty sure other sites look fine. They surf the web a lot and would have mentioned so. Assuming other sites look fine, what could it be?

not at the moment but it just looks like a box with an x icon for a missing image, just like any other time an image is missing. I did have an actual image MIA and it looked as I described on my coworkers comp and I had no evidence of a missing img (didn't show anything). On other occasions I see the image and she gets the no image ugly box.
