It was always an unusual feature for forum software to me...I don't see a reason to log in and browse the forum, especially DP, invisible. Bubba Shawn will enlighten us to why this feature is disabled, though. I'm sure he doesn't see a point to it, either.
The "invisible" feature is fully supported by Invision Power Board, which displays "there are X members surfing anonymously" I have not seen the feature here, but I believe it is also available in vBulletin, however the procedure is different. In IPB you see the option in the login page, in vBulletin it is available as option inside your Control Panel (if enabled)
It was intentionally disabled. If you want to browse the forum "invisible", just don't browse the forum. Then you aren't here.
Open two tabs with DP Forums. Go wander about in 'clean' threads on one, browse the 'secret' ones in the other. Make sure you click a 'clean' one just after you entered a 'secret' one and no one can tell what you're really up to.
What is the point of this feature unless you are an admin or a moderator who doesnt want to be contacted? Rob
Dear friends, I think the feature is for your privacy as you can't be tracked in the forum. it is possible by other users to know What you are doing. In which forum you are. But as an invisible you can see everything but nobody can track you. So they can't catch you or follow you in the forums. it is for those who don't want to be disturbed. I think only Admin and mods should have the ability . They should be invisible to put pressure on the evils Regards. Coolsaint
