Nearly every term you can think of to do with domain name brokerage has already gone and is not available. This keyword rich domain is now up for appraisal - what do you more experienced domainers think about this name and the best way too, to start getting it developed?

Not interested in reseller prices truth be told, but if I was to sell it to the ideal end user market, how much do you think it might be worth?

Where too do you think would be the best place to sell this domain?

Not too sure yet, I may just end up developing it fully myself, but your assistance at this stage would be appreciated.

No offense to newbies in the domaining industry, but please refrain on this thread from giving your appraisal, sorry. I only want to hear the views of more experienced and knowledgeable domainers, those that have been in this business for quite some time.

    Many thanks.

I'm sorry... but this domain isn't worth much. Firstly, it's three words, which is never good in a domain. Keywords with three words can sell for a lot, but it has to be a premium keyword. Secondly, the words in this name don't make sense. If it was domainnamebroker that would make more sense, but this has no keyword value whatsoever. There are also some smaller, more unimportant problems with the domain like the double letter, but that won't impact the domain much.

An end user seeking a domain like this, especially if they are a big company or someone with a lot of money would definitely seek out a better name than this. Resale value would be reg fee, and honestly, I wouldn't even bother seeking out an end user for this one for the reasons I've stated above.

Thank you Wyatt for taking the time to give your honest thoughts, this is appreciated.

I know it's not perfectly ideal, the thing being that all the other two word, three word generics are already gone, so I was having to make do with a second best choice here.

I've decided I will develop this name, I'll take it from there.

Once again thank you for your time and consideration and I hope the forthcoming new year brings you too, great success, health and happiness.

    All the best.

I would have to agree with Wyatt's appraisal, reg fee unless developed. The plural would be better, but I presume it was already taken. 3 word domains could be good also, but for that name it doesn't sound as good as "domainnamebroker" or even "brokerdomainnames".

Also, when you ask for appraisals, it will always be a reseller appraisal as nobody knows what an enduser would pay for it.

There's no best place to sell domains, you could sell on forums or even Sedo, Afternic, etc.

Many Thanks HTMLIndex, appreciate you chipping in your response. Normally I do appraisals myself, only in this instance I was interested to hear your views on this too.

The name has now been lined up for development. Will definitely keep it. Every other name as you say has gone already of a similar nature. Sure it's second best, but as a hand reg for such a few dollars, it's really not too bad at all, some decent SEO should give it an almighty great kick up the arse to get it going, attracting traffic.

Again, a great many thanks for your help.

Go easy on the champagne tonight, on the other hand no, all of you should get as drunk as possible, have hellish hangovers in the morning, leaving the few of us left to snap up the real bargains dotted around.:D
