    Hi,

When running a broken links report, the following problem came out.

There are a lot of redirected links with Status code 302, mostly in the password protected area of the site. My client is concerned that if it's left as it is, it could have a negative effect on the way the search engines regard the site.

My question is, is it a problem at all and if it is would a solution be to add a robots.txt file to exclude those pages that are causing the 302 status redirects.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Best regards,

    Mischa

yeah just add a few extra lines to your robots.txt to disallow the spidering of any password protected pages.

Although I would have said the negative effects would be negligible if any at all.
