    Can I just ask, in America, is $50 considered an average daily wage? (such as working 9am - 5pm in an average job) or would $100 be more likely?

    Depends on what you would consider an "average" job. Back when I was still going to school, I worked in retail making $11.25 (my highest wage) an hour, with 8 hours a day. Which should get me close to $90 a day - before taxes that is. After it gets taxes and all, I would end up with more like $75-80 a day.

    Now I that work as web developer, I make about $26/hour which is considerably more, but I also get taxed a hell of a lot more too. And its true as they say "You can never have enough money" :p
