I predicted he would lose. The only fight I predicted wrong on that card was Jake Shields fight..and I kind of knew he'd win, but deep down, i was just hoping for an upset. Velasquez is just a much, much better fighter than Lesnar.
I don't agree, people fear Brock and he is very fast for his size and physique. He will get the rematch against him and hammer him, Court Mcgee's fight was amazing.
yes, brock is amazingly fast for his size, but he still doesn't hold the experience and fighting skills Velasquez does. Any rematch within the next.....year, at least. The same thing will happen. I don't see Velasquez losing his title anytime soon. Maybe even an Anderson Silva-like reign on the HW division. Maybe not to that extreme, but I believe he'll be holding onto it for a while.
not really shocked brock lost, he just doesnt have the same experience as people who have been training in MMA for 5-10 years. I would have loved to seen Jake Shields lose also, but that will happen in his next fight. He is not built to fight at that weight class, he will once again have to cut alot of weight.
Size and physique isn't something people fear when there are weight divisions. I think you are overestimating the importance of size. In any (contact)sport skill trumps size, size only comes into effect when similarly skilled opponents face off. If they were to face off again my money would be on Cain for several reasons: 1) Cain has a wider skill set. Brock has to worry about take downs and getting punched in the face. Cain only has to worry about take downs since he outclasses Brock in terms of striking. Because Cain only has to worry about one thing, he can adjust his stance so he'll be stuffing the majority of Brock's take down attempts (remember Cain is also a very accomplished wrestler, a better technical wrestler than Brock) 2) Lesnar is horrible under pressure. Look at the Carwin and Cain fights, the second Brock gets punched in the face, he winds up curling up. Yes Brock is a great wrestler, but he still isn't used to getting hit in the face - he might not ever be. In order for Brock do do well, he needs to dominate and finish the fight fast. In this regard, Cain is a terrible match-up for Brock as he is not afraid to push the pace and bring the fight to Brock.
John Cena isn't even a UFC fighter and did you see it when that fan ran in the ring Cena was so scared!
