Is there anyway to see how many impressions and what keywords phrases your ads are being shown for when you have selected a broad keyword match term?

Go to Reports and run a Search Query report.
(though you are likely to get a few "other unique queries" results, which aren't much help)

Or use your own tracking and pick apart the query string from your log files.

you need a private tracking software to extract the keyword query from each click to your site.

Googles search query is limited and tends to sum up lots of clicks

The best options are to use services like

    opentracker.net

    or

    statcounter.com

I'm not looking to find out what keyword phrases people "clicked" on, I'm just looking to collect information on what people are searching for via the "impressions" which are counted when my ads are displayed. Is there a way to do this?

So basically I setup a campaign added a couple of the major keywords as broad match in the hope that I'd be able to find out what "keyword phrases" people are searching with... so is there a way once you have had a campaign running for a bit that has used individual broad match keywords to find out what keyword phrases are generating the ad impressions not the click throughs?

I tried this but the reports seemed to have no data in them... Do you have to wait awhile for the reports to collect data or should the data already have been collected?

If there is no click, then you won't get any data on just the impressions. It would be very nice if google allowed that though.

When you say no click, do you mean clicks within the campaign, or no click within ad group, or no click for the search term the ad was displayed for.

Because I have been running the campaign for about 24 hours and there have been like 2000 impressions and like 15 clicks, so there are definitely clicks within the campaign.
