I bet it's a good time to be in the bullet making industry.

 

I wonder how much american soldiers have fired?

 

Most of the rounds were probably supressive fire which is costly on the ammo but saves the troops lives. I wonder how much of the ammo was used for live fire exercises or on ranges.

Do you think it was better with the Taliban running the place?

 

The better question is if there is any difference? Do you think for ordinary people makes any difference if their country is occupied by Soviet or USA and if they die by a bullet made in eastern block or western country?

The 6500 strong Taliban were never, and will never be a real threat.

Well, if you think firing 2 million bullets at Afghanis, bombing teh hell out of their country, forcing them to live under a government and social system they did not ask for, and likely would revert from if given the chance, while preventing them from growing the only crop they can make any money at....

Hey, I could list all of the crap that happens here. It's a poor justification for invading someone and taking over their country, unless you think that we should also be susceptible to the same standards....
