I can think of some etc's etcs, etceteras or however you write it. Islamic radicals group America, Bush, The West, Jews, Democracy, Israel, Christians into a monolith. I know you don't necessarily do this and many Americans simply don't like Bush. But many of us see Bush bashing go hand in hand with America bashing, then the west, then Christians, then Israel, then Jews and on and on...... Not that you do that but many of us watch it from others and wonder where do we draw a line in the sand? I'm no Bush fan (In fact you would be surprised how much I can't wait to get him out) but I'm very careful about criticizing him and my country in front of people who genuinely hate us and wish to kill us ASAP.
