Bringing Traffic to a Website? $1500

I started a website a few weeks ago. It has quality content & a professional design. Im looking to increase traffic. Currently, I only have $1500 USD. At most, $2000 USD. If anyone on here has experience in creating traffic, what are some ways I could do so with that amount?

The best (in terms of both speed, targeting and guarantee) source of traffic is and has always been PPC. However, before you log in to your Adwords account and set up a campaign you need to do A LOT of reading on the subject, as it is so very easy to burn and basically p*ss off your whole budget without gaining anything in return.

if you want speed pay per click is the answer but depending or your keywords you could run through the your budget pretty quick. If you are not a good writer you may want to hire one. Have them write 21 articles around your keywords and submit 1 article a day. That will bring you a study stream of traffic possibly for years. You also post regularly to forms that are in your niche. This will only cost you just a few hundred dollars.

I am brand new so first off, HELLO! Just registered for this forum today because well, you can't ever know enough in the world of IM. Anyway...there are all kinds of free ways (take a lot more time to develop unforunately), theres PPC through Adwords just be careful with the keywords and such, or there is purchasing traffic. I wouldn't say I'm an expert in the field, but traffic is sort of my forte and I started my IM career with SeriousSiteTraffic dot com. Check it out if you want, it's worth the small investment to get targeted traffic.

Thats the key...TARGETED traffic, random people who don't know why they ended up on your site aren't going to be ready to buy what you are selling. Gotta find the ones with their wallets next to the computer ;)

I agree. I would do a lot more reading on the Subject before you blow your 2k on PPC advertising. It's easy to lose money quick if you don't know what you are doing.

My advice is to work on SEO. Invest in content and links, you are not able to pay for each visitor all the time. While seo will bring you free visitors from search engines.

My advice for you is to use social media to gain traffic.
PPC can be a complete waste of time if you don't know what you are doing.
Facebook brings in a steady stream of traffic plus you can interact with your prospects directly and target them easily.
I use Facebook daily to grow all of my online busineses. I have several sites in different niches (dating, money making, weight loss, etc) all are bringing in 100+ unique visitors and 7-10 sales a day per site.
I use only free techniques so everything I make is profit.

If you're new to this business then I would stay away from ppc, I see a lot of people starting with ppc and "almost" always they lose money. So your other option is to invest that 2K on seo, hire a reputable company to do seo on your site and go from there.

Two things you could do are:

    1. Hire someone or outsource to develop quality or unique content
    2. Spend on SEO as well.

slowly down the line you would start receiving the traffic.
    cheers

I agree. You should invest a portion of that money on educating yourself on PPC and then start doing it not just in Adwords but on other PPC advertising platforms like Facebook PPC. You should also start looking into Media Buying, it's extremely powerful!

I would do a lot of independent SEO research, then approach a professional and ask them if they would be able to enhance in any way what research you have already done. I spent $$ on someone to do SEO for me without realising that I already had all of that information myself! Content is a great, fairly economical investment that you can use for years. I personally don't use PPC at all.
