Hey Everyone, I just wanted to give everybody an update on new things happening at AdBrite. Yesterday we launched www.britepic.com as a new service for webmasters to monetize and communi-tize (not really a word ) their pics. You can see a nice article about it here. http://www.techcrunch.com/2007/03/29/redefining-the-img-tag/#comments Enjoy, and don't hesitate to contact me with any questions. Thanks, Chris AIM cmartellotti
Giving BritePic a test. My sites have hundreds of pics and this gives me a way to earn revenue from them. Lots of extra features for the pics even if they don't earn any cash. Very good Idea. Google missed the boat on this one but they might catch on fast if they think money is involved.
wow! i have honestly just read the first few paragraphs of the article (and have probably missed the small print and posting this too early), but this is AMAZING! advertising on images... i have currently been able to get a few people to sponsor watermarks on my photos with minimal (however pleasantly rewarding) success... but if i can monetise all images that will be fantastic! with 5,000+ photo views on my site a day surely i cant wait to try this out :| rep given for letting us know
ok that was a bit brash but i was quite excited at the concept... huge problem for me though... the advertising-side of this thing is not clearly explained - how much can publishers expect to earn? how is this earned? how many advertisers have you already signed up? the whole idea seemed rushed to me - especially as there are no tutorials to help publishers out, probably the same for the advertisers too.
sounds like it can work out well for some people but it also seems like some webmasters are getting so caught up on adbrite, adsense, etc that their content is lacking.
