I have a site that I currently have up and running built in wordpress. I'm looking to integrate a forum within it. I'd prefer Wordpress to control the registration but it's not a deal breaker. I own a vBulletin 3.86 license and would prefer using vB, but am willing to concede and use something like phpBB or another free forum (not bbPress!) Requirements: * Users that are already registered in my Wordpress forum and have authenticated need to be mapped as regular users in my forum. * Users that click register will be brought to a single registration form no matter where they click register (in the forum, blog, etc.). Any users that register/authenticate are added to both Wordpress and the forum and only need to register once and going forward sign in once and are signed in to both sites. * Users only log in once, on my forums homepage or in the entire sites header in any page. * The comments for each post made on my blog will all go under a specific forum that the poster selects from a drop down menu in post article. When a writer submits an article it automatically creates a thread in the specified forum/subforum and comments made both in the article and in the forum will be listed both under the article and in the forum. (i.e. the thread will essentially be in the forum and in the article)... I can clarify if you don't understand. * The site is ultimately going to be a Wordpress site with a forum inside of it (not the other way around). * The site needs to work with my current plugins installed : Akismet, Login with Ajax, Ozh' Admin Drop Down Menu, PHP Text Widget, Register Plus Redux (if WP controls registration), White Label CMS * The site needs to know if a user is signed in or not at any point in any page. Let me know if this is feasible. Please PM me any questions. Thanks, MatStars
