Brett Farve retiring

Well after kicking the living hell out of Chicago tonight, Brett Farve gave a very tear filled interview. After listening to his emotional interview it looks pretty clear that the greated QB to ever play the game is probably retiring. We will certainly miss you Brett! Thank you for 16 years of great football!

    Happy New Year!

    :(

I hope he doesn't retire - The Old Gunslinger still has it in him to win a lot of games.

One of the best players to ever play the game, and a cool guy as well (met him in 2000, was a real pleasure...)

He'll be on the Carolina Panthers next year.

I'm sure he's just acting like a whiny bitch so he doesn't have to play in Green Bay next season. :p

I thought Dan Marino or Joe Namath were better than Favre, right? Regardless, he was a terrific player just who the cheeseheads needed.

    Jealous much?

Maybe "Rex - The Answer To All Our Troubles - Grossman" will be his backup.

Nah, Grossman couldn't carry Favre's jockstrap...

That'd be great. 8 guaranteed interceptions for the Bucs next year ;)

Jealous? Of what? Your trite "jock strap" comment? :p

Not at all....I like Fav-ra. And I'd still take him over Grossman.

Now if you want to accuse me of being jealous of Mark Chamura.....well maybe.

    Ah - My bad...

I took "Brett is a whiny bitch" + Chicago resident and it equaled, "Why did my Bears sh!t the bed?"

Sometimes the old brain just wanders off on its own.... :)

I was going to go on a long rant over how the decision was over due but I'll respect this topic for what it is.. he does have a legacy but I don't think he was the best option for the packers for the past two years.

    Carolina has streets?

Quinn will be gone before Carolina gets their pick.

    Mia: It's "Favre".

Whats wrong with Delhomme? I always thought he was pretty good. I think Smith makes him look a lot better than he his, but he is fiery and brings life to that team.

Good God, someone said they are thinking of hiring Sherman for the AZ Cards... As if he did not do enough damage in Green Bay.

Delhomme still has a few solid years ahead of him. the panthers as a whole had a bad year. they will be back and doing well, as will delhomme.
