Normally --when I submit to a free directory--and it has G ads--I click atleast once--just... so that I return the favor. They mught not know--but its my moral responsibility I think to support. I only all did/thought like that;)

It's called robbing the advertiser. If you are not interested in the ad, you shouldn't click on it.

man, that isn't fair to the advertiser. If your moral said that to click if the ads is good and you really wanna know about that ads, that is fine and not when you wanna support the directory owner. To do so, u shall buy feature link or paid link from him...

What do you mean by "moral responsibility?

If you are not interested in the ads DON'T Click them.

If directories are free that means is FREE.

Ahahahah - that is why I dont advertise much with ppc and specially with google.

But seriously doing this is not the way to go because it hurts website owners and advertisers.

    My question?

Do you think ppc will be replaced with something better? Clearly this system is full of fraud clicks.

I might be the next millionaire (in my dreams) if I create the next "advertiser system" where click fruad will be a thing of the past.

BTW for a not too expensive fee ($100) I will tell you how to make money with adsense using your directory. It took me two years to make $25 with adsense so if you want to make money and want to pay the fee let me know. Please read carefully because I know what I'm writing and hopefully you get the point. If you're not willing to pay first don't bother. I will not post in this thread again and won't answer your question.

I know there is least one that will take the bait.

Are you this person? I know you will not regret it.

Yes, I agree. Most visitors to directories are probably other webmasters, so I wouldn't expect them to be clicking on Google ads.

You and those that think like you are costing Advertisers millions of dollars in bullshit clicks... thats the reson that when someone trys the pay per click arena they are crucified at 50 cents + a keyword , its not that its popular its that ppc fraud in occuring.

    thx

I highly disagree with that statement. When an ad is place in a website and no one is clicking, the advertiser gets a Free advertisement.

If I saw an ad about a butt-hair removal tool and even though I did not click on the ads to find out more about it, I will now have a vivid knowledge of such 's a tool in existense and maybe one day I will Google about that product that I once saw in the ads.

Also that can be said about people sitting down in their living room watching tv, when the commercial comes up and the person with a remote control changes the channel, you could say to that person that he is robbing the adveriser because he refuses to watch the commercial.

So with that mentality the publisher aren't allowed to make any money? because Google ads or Yahoo can't produce relevant ads to the publisher so that it is clickable. I think being gratified is a good way to say "thank you" to the publisher and therefore clicking on an ad or two will show that and it could intice the publisher to produce more contents and such's.

I see both sides of the equation. IF we were to debate this this thread would turn into the longest in the history of DP. Well maybe not but you get my drift.

As for that guy who wants 25$ to show us how to make $ on our directory. I was interested until you said "at least one of you will take the bait" when you say "take the bait" you normally imply there is a hook and you get a catch. You may want to rethink your wording.
