Before I leave a Negitave I would make sure that it is him and not paypal doing this...

Edit: Just report the thread and he will probally get suspended.

Yeah, I still think it may be paypal....but just had to get the domain back incase. I won't leave negative until I speak with paypal in the morning or if he replies to my PM, which I know he's read.

For what its worth I experienced the same thing with paypal recently. I hadnt used my account in quite some time then suddenly a bunch within a short frame of time. They thought someone hijacked my account so they froze two of the transactions and put them under investigation. Good thing it one was only a few bucks the other was about $70. The two people, who were from DP, were very understanding and patient. Once I got on phone with paypal they freed my account immediately, then had me email the resolution dept. to free up theirs which took maybe 48hrs.

Hopefully, thats what you are going through.

Thats teh one thing about DP I wish could change. Mods/admins don't get involved in these transactions. I had someone try to buy a site of mine 2 days ago for $600, I didn't transfer the domain right away and 30 minutes after I was paid I got a chargeback, or course no ban.

Why would you get the domain back from namecheap, do all this triple posting. You should have waited for a comment from him. If I was the other guy and it was Paypals problem, I'd be asking for a refund and giving you a negative itrader.

I'm not saying he has or has not scammed you, be more patient next time, though.

I did send him a PM immediatly when Paypal raised the issue, then 30 minutes later he was still active on this forum but choose not to respond, this made me more alert to the issue.

My buddy linked me to this thread and I signed up to help you out real fast.

I sell stuff on eBay so I deal with PayPal almost daily.

How did he pay for the transaction? i.e. e-check? paypal balance? bank?

Also, he could've sent you the money, and did you transfer it to your bank account? He could've then canceled payment . .

Please Respond so I can help.

Spoke to Paypal, it's basically from a fraudulent account they say, so i'll guess i'll be selling copies of the site.

Unless someone else wants to make me an offer.....what a load of bs.

Yeah, he has the files. Hence I won't be able to shift this at all now....

I have the domain if that's any concelation. Besides, if you ever see the same design knocking about, contact the host and tell them it's been ripped and they'll shut it down.

I have the IP, I have information on his namecheap account....

However, the IP goes to Brazil and his namecheap info puts him in Italy. Therefore a proxy might have been used to download the files.

Wheres my message? The only PM I recieved from you yesterday was asking for help finding a readme file...by that point paypal had already e-mailed me regarding the suspicious payment.

I then sent you a PM asking what was going on to no reply, even though you had been on the forums after this time. This is what made me even more suspicious.

I phoned paypal earlier today and they basically said they're investigating the issue but believe it's due to a fraudulent account. I've done my part of the bargin concerning paypal and have replied to the e-mail they sent me. It's now upto you to contact paypal and sort this out if it's a legitimate error.

Yes, this should be discussed in private but he's not replying to my PM instead he is replying in this thread.

If this is a genuine issue with paypal then all he has to do is reply to paypal and they will resolve this.

Well, it seems he's gone offline again without replying to my PM.

put me on a list of people to contact if you do decide to sell copies. I really hope you get it sorted out with paypal and the buyer, but if not you have other options to make your money back on this one.

Not trying to hijack the tread. I just wanted to tell everyone that I got a infraction for stating my opinion about the site.
I am sick of DigitalPoint mods handing out infractions like they are nothing at all....
