The news said it was something about birds. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/01/16/nyregion/16strike.html?hp
A US Airways plane from La Guardia Airport landed in the Hudson River shortly after takeoff. All 150 passengers and 5 crew members were reportedly safe.
I must have had my head in the clouds the last few days as this is the first thing I have heard about this. Blimey, Glad they are all okay. I think I need to watch the news more often, Seems I only find out whats happening in the world through DP and other forums.
Well,it's good news that all the people have survived, but it's funny that a bunch of birds made a huge plane crash! LoL
Crazy story. I just read that they can not find the engines still. They say a mix of the mucky waters / cold temps / higher winds are causing it to make the search impossible. Hopefully once they find them that this bird theory is correct as to why it went down. Which I do not see any reason it is not.
