    Hi

    Just got this wonderful news that one can now verify the paypal using Indian Bank Account.

    My Paypal is already verified long ago with a real CC.

    I just got this info from http://www.statebank.org.in forum
    http://www.statebank.org.in/forum/showthread.php?p=1333
    I asked him further which bank you used to verify the paypal and he told SBI


    So NOW ONE CAN VERIFY PAYPAL BY USING AN INDIAN BANK ACCOUNT
    No need of any VCC,CC, etc

    So people with unverified paypal,please try the above solution and state the result here :D
    I think i am the first one in DP to bring this good news to all fellow indian paypal users... :D

    I am very excited to inform all of my Indian friends who have not verified PayPal, now use your Bank account to Verify PayPal, login to paypal, and click on Get Verified... surprised .... huh...

    Is it advisable to remove the attached CC and verify once again using the bank account? :confused:

    It is true. Even I have verified my paypal using this method But..
    You will still need credits card verification to use subscribe services and to make payments to those websites which accept verified paypals.
    Only your status is verified, with less chances of getting your paypal banned. Nothing Else

    You started the process to verify your account by confirming your bank account. PayPal will send 2 small deposits to your bank account shortly which you'll need to retrieve from your bank statement and enter in to your PayPal account in order to complete the process.

    what does retrieving means in this case ??
    do i need to withdraw amount or what please help

    in simple words
    Paypal send you 2 small amounts(1-5rs i think) to your bank account... (It may take a day or two ...)
    You just have to fill what is the value of 2 small amounts they have sent to your bank account by looking at the bank statement
    Thats it.. Account Verified

    Once the paypal is verified even when you remove the CC, your account status will be verified itself ..
    And i dont think you can further use bank account to verify your paypal since your paypal is already verified ..
    Bank option comes only when one click get verified link which will not come if you are already verified ..
    Anyone can confirm my answer ?

    Remember to follow all steps, only adding bank account will not verify your account. Click on Get Verified and follow simple steps.

    I got this info to my email today from sbi forums...
    great news for Indians....
    I have a verified business acc(with yuva card) and a personal acc unverified account...
    I will try to verify it with my bank acc now and will post it here..

    Actually, it may have been planned as a pre-Republic day Gift for Indian users..

    People have reported that they have verified their Paypal account using Indian Bank since 20th Jan.

    You can receive payments and withdraw funds to your Bank account. (that's possible even when you are unverified)

    Now, you can get verified, which will Lift the limits of transactions..

    P.S --> You cannot use the Bank account as Funding Source in Paypal even now. For that, you must use a Credit Card (or have enough balance in your Paypal :D)
