Bread crumbs for seo

    Do you think it is ok to add code to a site to show bread crumbs in search results(only), but hide them on the site site(they don't fit to the design)? I understand bread crumbs may have positive effect from seo point of view.

    but is it allowed to add code for bread crumbs to show in search result only and hide them from the site, and what code for a wordpress site?

    You are not supposed to hide bread crumbs. Its better to display it or remove it. Hiding breadcrumbs won't be of any use to the users as bread cumbs are included for user navigation purpose. Though it has some SEO value, hiding it have high chances of getting penalised.

    Breadcrumbs as said by above members it’s very useful for the navigation purpose> it help the users to know how they have arrived to the particular page and return to the landing page. It will help the users to travel with your site easily and at faster rate. So my suggestion is to have breadcrumbs in site. Instead of thinking whether to add it or not. Just try to trouble shoot and implement the breadcrumbs. It’s not mandatory but yet helps in user navigation. The site looks systematic. It helps in internal linking too. Kindly check with the styling’s.
