That seems like a great concept but it must be tested over a long period of time to decide whether of not it is effective.

I have some pals living in Brazil. If you don't show your face into the jungle, it is quite a civilized country and the people are really sweet. I would probably feel much better about investing in Latin America than putting my money into the Emerging Markets of Eastern Europe. This B.BR thing should see Brazil going to another level in online banking and probably more companies would feel safer doing business online. Safer environment = more investors!
think so too but well in germany we don't have second level domains but the hompages of the banks have some features that are only displaying if it is the page of the *real* bank
can you show an example of this? Also, I am a brazilian citizen and I have bank accounts in Brazil as well as in the US, I use online banking for both and I have to say, the brazilian bank is much safer, it asks you for a user/pass + a security code that you have to type in a "virtual keyboard", so there's no way for a keylogger to record your security code.
