Does it matter whether your online software company has a logo and slogan? how much attention do your customers pay to your branding?
Hi Bethenny, If your business is online only (webshops ect..) a good logo is a must! Slogan isn't so important be its a nice extra. If we're talking about a webshop here's some tips: - Website design and usability is number 1 priority. (If your site doesn't look good, users won't take your shop surious and they will NOT buy) - Provide multiple payment options (not just paypal for example) - Show stock number/avaible/sold out notices - Create a usefull FAQ page - Get an Online Chat/Support system and hire someone to be online 24/7 it's a huge advantage worth the extra cost. User will more likely buy if he can speak to someone and ask questions. One of the best webshops if come too is redcoon.be it's worth checking, even though it's in dutch. I hope this helps
Branding helps people remember who you are, its easier to recognise a logo than remember a domain name. I guess for software a brand would be good.
Branding makes you look a lot more proffesional, Not a "100% MUST" though, but i would definitely reccomend it.
If its done well,it will make large diference in your shop success. Also makes people remember your shop from the competition,it can creat fan base from customers who loved your product.A successful brand will convey to the public your goals and mission statement. It's very important part of success.
Get a logo designed. In my opinion every business out there needs a well designed identity if you want to be taken seriously.
If your serious about building a legitimate business of any kind, whether web based or brick and mortar, you need branding. More importantly, you need a branding and slogan. This helps companies gain market share and market recogintion... You might not be old enough to remember... when FED EX started, their slogan, WHen it positivily has to be there over night. When i hear that phrase still today, i know its FED EX. You make the call, but why cut corners. Just my opinion, but i would be doing Both. To your continued success Regards, Robert Nelson "The Maverick Motivator"
Yes it compulsory to have logo and slogan. This will let customer more easily recognize and remember the software company.
It really depends on the product the company produces. If it's a high quality product, then the company would wish to establish a brand and have people remember them for their high quality. However, if that's not the case, a logo/brand is not as crucial.
I'm biased, but IMO branding can significantly influence a purchasers confidence in your company. A professional image can make all the difference.
In the contemporary world, people pay more attention to appearance rather than inner qualities. When they visit your site at first, they won't know anything about you - whether you are good or bad or whatever, they would judge you by the appearance at first. It is the first impression that matters! If you have a good logo a nice impression will be created from the beginning. Logo and slogan as well as site design sometimes tell the worth or the company and how much perfectness they put into their work. So I'd suggest you make your website as appealing as you can and tell them why they need your software not why you need them.. These all factors would help you to get established as a good software vendor and put trust and a sense of reliability for you in your (potential) customers.
if you are a company , then branding and logo is a must. but if you own a personal blog, then you should focus on personal branding which is worth more than the company brand and logo
You only have a few seconds, when a new visitor comes to your site, to tell your story. A professional looking logo instantly communicates that you were willing to make an investment in your business. If you are not willing to do this, how much confidence should a new visitor place in your business?
IMO building a brand helps extend the lifetime value of the customer, it also helps when expanding a product line to have an established brand.
I agree that a logo and branding is necessary to help build trust and repeat business. Have a look at the design forums on this site - there's some good work and it's not very expensive - seem to be able to get a good logo for US$50 - better than an expensive design shop IMHO.
If u want to grow your business at a good level than logo is must. Logo is the most important thing for a company. That's where a company get recognized
