Had this post on one of my blogs a while ago, thot it was still worth sharing, let me know your opinions… We’ve had LL, LLL, and LLLL.com buyouts. Now people are wondering about the prospect of LLLLL.coms For the newbies, L- simply stand for letters, so LL.com LLL.com and LLLL.com simply means 2 letter, 3 letter and 4 letter .com domains respectively. With the recent Web2.0 age we are in, brandables will certainly rule the day. If you can have easily pronounceable and brandable 5 letter.com domains, you will at least make a 50% profit off it. What kind of LLLLL.com domains sell? - Easily pronounceable - Accronyms/Abbreviations - Easily Brandable I’ve sold names like Limzo.com for like $20 [regged it for $7.50], Dimzo.com for $35 and wadom.com for $200. If you are a newbie in the market and you want to make quick sale, brandable and pronounceable LLLLL.com is the way to go. But you need to know that not all 5 letter .com domains sell. It must be easily pronounceable and brandable to attract buyers. When you want to register LLLLL.com that will fetch cool cash, think Yahoo.com. If you have a problem with knowing the value of your LLLLL.com domains, run them by me and I’ll let you know what they can fetch.
Eventually, yes, but I think the LLLL market is really suffering right now so it will be a long while, unless you have a great LLLLL like Yahoo as you say, but most of those are long gone!
yeah the yahoo like names are gone but there are still some good brandable LLLLL.com domains out there, it's all about getting creative
I currently own the domain eTAHI.com, it is a 5 letter domain that can be pronounced easily, and it is easy to remember also. The meaning of eTAHI is: "Some" or "Other" as checked on: http://www.maoridictionary.co.nz/index.cfm?dictionaryKeywords=etahi&search.x=0&search.y=0&search=search&n=1&idiom=&phrase=&proverb=&loan="]http://www.maoridictionary.co.nz/index.cfm?dictionaryKeywords=etahi&search.x=0&search.y=0&search=search&n=1&idiom=&phrase=&proverb=&loan= and the language is: Maori (New Zealand) I think it has a good value and if not, I will keep it and wait some time until 5 letter domains are gone to see how much it is worth.
Brandable names will always fetch you more than what you paid them at registration time... I have some silly but easily pronounceable names and one of them recently got an offer of 8k.... I actually paid 2k for it... call be stupid but it sounded good. Later I found out it was the name of several existing companies
