Brand new to the business. Overwhelmed, too!

Greetings to all, from someone who didn't know what SEO was just 4 months ago.

A friend of mine owns several small businesses that rely on the internet for sales. He asked if I would be willing to learn SEO and attempt to help his business grow by working with his sites. I agreed and began reading books, searching the internet, and lurking in this forum. I finally felt it was time to jump into the fray and say hello.

I'm a 57 year old retired police dispatcher who lives in the mid-west (Kansas, USA) on 6 acres with my wife and my 13 year old twin boys, (I have a 27 year old son that lives nearby) a couple of dogs, and a handful of feral cats. I ride Harley Davidson motorcycles, and paint motorcycles for a hobby.

wow..I guess that I'm old but you are older than me.
