Just letting all of you here in the CB section know that I just concluded a test PPC campaign on my new product and wanted to announce the results.

I tested a $96 version of my product outside of clickbank with PPC and I am proud to say that it is converting an average of 1/23 targeted clicks.

Shortly after the test, I launched it on Clickbank but since I am a new vendor to Clickbank, I have the $50 product limit thing, so it will be extremely interesting to see how much better it converts at the lower price ($49).

Because it is so new to CB, I don't have affiliates or affiliate sales. Since I sold several $96 versions outside of CB, I am very confident the $49 will convert as well or better.

The product is a hybrid of a making money online biz op and video games. Both hugely sought after topics and keyword inventory plus the pitch page was made by a very famous designer (the one that did Day Job Killer).

The copy on the pitch page is actually about myself when I was in the video game industry for around 10 years of my life and uses a story based approach. As wild as it sounds, everything is totally true in the story which helps :)

The pitch page is at www.videogamegodfather.com.

Thanks for reading and please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I am looking for excited affiliates wanting to milk this for as much as they can while it is still in it's "virgin" stages.

    Thank you.

I think it looks good, and sounds good, and youre right, its a real nice story - it's rare to get products which are actually based on the vendor's real, personal experience, and I think that because of this personal touch it will work, and sell, also that it really is your life you should be passionate to make it work, to keep pushing it and improving it, so I wish you good luck.

The reason I think people aren't commenting on this / jumping on to promote it is because you claim an AMAZING conversion rate, yet offer no "proof" in the form of conversion stats screenshots. Also the very fact of changing the payment provider to Clickbank and altering the price will change the conversion rate significantly, and it doesnt sound like you have tested this and got a solid stat for the new conversion. I would really recommend sending yourself 2000 people - from ppc and solid articles and then coming back and updating with a conversion screenshot - people will believe you more then and start trying you out.

    Good luck!

*edit: that quater mil money pile looks nice... but a bit unbelievable to the average video gaming kid... if you had a picture of yourself, smiling standing next to it this would help - backed up by other pictures of you on the site..

Nice landing page, strong call to action and lots of testimonies - should do well overall.

The personal touch of the product will also increase conversions. (I've noticed that most products that are based on personal stories convert pretty well)

Congrats, wishing you good luck :)

when clicking on links in your page, try having it open in a new window. its never good to let people navigate away from your sales page.

eg. (see the proof) under $272,894.34 in 30 Days!

Good idea and that has crossed my mind. Do you think it's good to do a new window or a layer on the current window? I am afraid a new window may also have the same effect (taking them away from the pitch). Have you ever tested this? I also tried to install a lightbox type of script where it darkens the screen and brings up a layered window but for some reason it wont work. Do you have any script suggestions?

    Thanks for your help
