Are there any mods/hacks that I should install to a new forum.

Just thought i'de ask because this is my first forum so am not aware of any that are worthwhile.

Also do you all upgrade to the latest version because I'm currently running 3.7.1 i think and there is 3.7.2 available.

    Thanks

There is 3.7.2 available, so I would upgrade.

This is a question asked by many people who start forums, and it is a really vague question. We can only help if we know what your forum is about, or what it provides and what your aims are. Also, you should be able to pick the features that are most important to you.

If you need some help with starting you forum, you can get some here: http://www.adminfuel.com/

It's a surfing forum, as in the sport so I don't need any excessive mods.

I would say just the basic ones that make using the forum better on a whole.

Maybe some SEO modifications would be good for search engines. Else I don't see any that you may necessarily need. What software are you using?

Oh sorry I thought I included that into the opening post, it's vbulletin.

I like that "currently active members" mod that say's whos using that thread.

Like the one at the bottom of each thread in this forum.

I believe, that is a default setting in vBulletin. You can set it yourself, without a modification :)
