I'm having a hard time finding any significant amount of searches in google for keywords related to aoc gold or aoc leveling guide using a few keyword tools.

Pretty much all of my clickbank marketing comes from my websites optimizes for SEO, so I'm not sure if I would be a good candidate. But if there are keywords trust me I can make you a lot of money.

If you could come up with some real world searches for a few low competitive keywords I would be grateful.

I think you should target the wide words like, Age of Conan. Don't go for anything specific because the topic is already nichey enough. I've also confirmed that there's not a lot of volume on the searches, but I like that! I'm running all ppc on this one and I appreciate that I'm not having to pay 1.50 per click. My current bid is .20 up from the .05 I started with. I'm edging it up to find the thresh-hold.

I'm currently targeting every search term I could find related to gold in the game since I have to pay for clicks, but if you're going for free traffic shoot wide and you won't miss.

 

Yep the above is correct as the niche is very targetted anyway, if you just wanted to do REALLY targetted and only target gold keywords then this is fine too.

The thing with this niche though is while being small it does convert so get in while the competetion is low, also the levelling guide when paired with this makes good money.

I bought the product in clickbank and it does work. I set it up about 3 days ago and took me about an hour to set up everything. I started with about 9 followers and so far have 170. They advertise you should have 16,000 followers in 90 days. They tell you how to do all this in video's. Pretty nice setup. Good way to advertise your stuff and make money.

Just thought I would add as well with this niche what really works well is Youtube vids!

There is not a huge amount of competeting websites and you can get page 1 rankings with a good youtube vid, here is one I made for the Gold guide:

That image will work fine, I can get my graphics guy to resize it to what we need. Ill throw it up with my AoC re-review and patch break down this week or next week and see how it goes.

As for wow... Im currently promoing zygors, I wouldnt mind promoing a Gold guide, but the ones I have promoed in the past usually didnt do to well, and the folks who bought them werent exactly pleased.

Im not saying your guide isnt good Chris, just saying most wow gold guides arent.

Im about to be releasing a WoW pvp video section from youtube, so may try your banner out with Zygors and see how they convert.

 

that's exactly my own concern. I love this niche personally (as a wow player)...but i had problems with selling guides in the past, many were outdated, things like that.

 

well the main issue is quality. There are a TON of guides out there, but its hard to tell who the real good guides are from the bad guides.

I know Zygors leveling guide is good because I have used it, and I dont mind vouching for it with my customers/viewers. They see the add, and hopefully trust me not to put garbage on the site.

Sadly, the eve guide I am currently demoing... I have no idea if its a good guide or not. I need to pick it up when I can and find out, but there isnt really a whole lot of choice on clickbank when it comes to EvE...theres only 1 option.

AoC... thats an extremely small niche atm even as far as mmo games go due to the massive launch failure they had. (Warhammer is in the same boat).

Both have rather big patches / content additions coming this summer that can definitely bring some players back, so specifically targeting those ads during those few weeks with, articles, reviews, etc would probably be fairly profitable as tons of new players are going to be looking for quick money, quick leveling etc.

 

to the OP....i wanted to give this a shot, i got 7/10 quality score on Adwords but the MIN. bid is $0.45 for the KW i was shooting for - which makes this...well a DUD. If you have any ideas, please let me know. I was interested in this since it is indeed a rel. new niche - i did a quick adwords keyword pricing check for my keyword, adwords keyword tool telling me $0.05. I made my site...$0.45 min bid is the result for this particular KW, all other KW have way to low search volume.

Thanks for your comments, you are both right it is a small niche, however also a well converting one.

If you combine both the AOC gold guide and the AOC levelling guide in your promotions you will see sales shoot in.

I mean the best way is with PPC as this is no doubt the quickest but it is really easy to get top spots in Google on the natural results due to hardly any competetion as well.

GeorgR, I have a few people advertising on Adwords and they don't seem to have a problem, however you can get arounjd this quite easily by building a landing page that is optimized for the phrase you want to target and that will get the bid down.

Phaine, I agree with you about the quality of guides as well, both of these guides are high quality I mean you really need to have a good guide when you are talking about MMORG's as if not you will just get a ton of refunds.

Also as the game updates I in turn will update the guides so you can be sure they are always up to date.

Who knows and who cares? If we can make money on it right now, then why not? Jump on board or be left at the dock. So far I'm on board but spending money on bait with no fish. We'll see what happens. It's a cheap enough niche to experiment.

 

Well if it goes anything like World of Warcraft then it could be here to stay for a long time!

Anyway it is converting well now just got another affiliate sale through yesterday with just 5 hops on the Age of Conan gold guide and the Age of Conan leveling guide got 2 sales yesterday.


I think the thing is if you promote the Age of conan gold guide with the age of conan leveling guide it makes up for the lack of traffic.

If the game had a poor launch that means the developers will be very happy to promote it when they fix bugs, like the other poster said. Then the game could go grow very fast and highly developed niche websites would make a lot of profit fast.
