Promotional gifts can be given to potential or existing clients or employees as an acknowledgment of hard work, as a reward for commitment and loyalty to a company. The nature of the gift will depend on the impression you want to achieve; stylish and expensive or fun and economical. Always print the company logo onto the promotional product before sending it.

Promotional gifts are essential in the world of business and are seen as an important tool in the areas of promotion and marketing. It is up to you when a gift is given and for what reason, the point of it is to enhance your company's image.

Gifts chosen for customers' can act as a visual "THANK YOU" for their loyalty to your company and appeal to their sense of obligation, as well as forming a bond between the giver and receiver. By giving gifts to employees is a way to let them know that their work and service has been observed and is appreciated. Gifts given to staff can also have the effect of raising their sense of belonging and in turn this might lead to an increased interest in their work and a happy working atmosphere.

Sending gifts to potential new clients will create a positive image of your company. Decide for something simple but practical and it might result in a sale and even lead to a loyal long-term customer. Recommendations from other companies or colleagues can result in a number of large sales, a small gift sent as appreciation could encourage additional referrals. If your company is about to launch a new brand or wants to promote a special product or service, giving a small gift out to potential customers can support the event. Other appropriate times for gift giving include company celebrations, birthdays, retirements, a birth, the completion of a special project or moving to new premises.

There are lots of opportunities when it's appropriate for handing out gifts. If the company has a celebration coming up, such as a valued member of staff is retiring, receiving a gift will be remembered by the receiver as well as by other employees with warm memories. Gifts don't have to be hugely expensive to make an impression. Items that are tasteful, elegant, inspiring or fun can each be welcome. It isn't necessary to spend a lot of money on expensive gifts for everyone. More important is the quality and originality and the ability to create a pleasant surprise. Always check out companies' rules and regulations on accepting gifts first. Many simply are not allowed to accept them or a gift can only be accepted if it is under a certain value. There also might be a rule stating that gifts have to be given to the company and not an individual within the company.

Gifts doesn't have to be given on just special occasions, such as Eid, New Year, Companies receive many gifts at these times of the year and your gift might easily be forgotten amongst the others. These are the times when companies will receive numerous gifts; you might obtain a greater effect if you send it at an uneventful time, just as a small token of gratitude for example.

Wrap the gift in attractive wrapping paper and make sure to write a card with a short little message.

Deciding on a suitable promotional gift is not always that easy. There are countless items to select and to ensure you give the right impression you have to get it just right. Whether you are looking for expensive and unique or cheap and easy to produce products, it will be decided by the relationship you are hoping to strengthen. If the event demands a promotional freebie, a reward to your employees or thank you to clients make certain your gift reflects the occasion.
