I don't think it's possible to boycott google either. What I suggested was to boycott google search. It is quite frustrating when you do the right things and yet you get caught in the middle. I'm the first man against blackhat seo and all the other fast pace techniques, trust me. And over the years I've seen too many garbage sites rank high because they were good at these scams. Again this adds to my frustration. I can't say we haven't made mistakes when it comes to seo, but we've worked hard to fix every single one as best as we can and for the past years abide by google's guidelines. But these recent updates seem like a punishment for those exact things they advised us to do. I'm sure I'm not the only webmaster who feels this way. And content, are you kidding? this is what we've focused on in the past 2 years, so certainly we shouldn't be penalized for that because we have some of the best contents. EXACT MATCH DOMAIN (EMD). Another complete joke. I can pull up several articles which google Itself advised people to do this, and so did many seo experts. So why punish people for following your rules. Yes there are some who overuse blackhat seo to make all of us look bad, and maybe they are to blame too. But it's simply not fair when so many good sites are caught in the mix. Even with these recent updates, I still see many fairly new and crap sites rank up high. Google is trying to fix things sure, but I feel they just keep lashing out penalties (on rules they made) because they don't have a complete solution.
I honestly believe that in stead of thinking how to boycott google search, it is better to spend that time thinking how to improve the page rank in a honest way, and to come back in the " race". It is true that many people have been affected by the lately changes, but with a little work they can get to even better results then they had before. This boycott will not really affect Google, since you can't convince millions of people to give up using it. Anyway good luck in your campaign.
Yes we can't boycott Google, but one thing is sure that the EMD update is completely wrong where non EMD sites are affected very badly and please check out Google Webmaster Support forum for this, this is the only reason of frustration in people.
