I don't get why France is like this. There was a big issue over a girl wearing the habji(sry if spelt wrong) while playing soccer. Or like they can't wear their stuff on their head during in class and stuff like that. Like what's the big deal, it's their religion why do they have to go and confront them and start up a firestorm.

IMHO France doesn't seem to learn from the inner city riots. It is time for nation reconciliation rather than segregation. That television company ought to be ban for religion discrimination. Where is equality and freedom of religion in this case? Such incidents just deepens the mistrust and misunderstanding between Muslims and the mainstream French population. Much can be done and need to be done to make Muslims part of the French community and to ensure that they are law abiding and productive citizens of France.
The boy should definitely sue his parents for naming him that. That's very unjust of the TV station as well.
islam will take over europe, because the birth rate is greater and the immigration wave from muslim countries is not going to go away, it's just a matter of time. Of course we're living in this transitional period, so there will be all kinds of stories about conflicts, but eventually it will be done..
Poor boy has no idea why the word "Islam" is bad. Probably he's a good boy like many others. But, Anyway the mistrust against Islam is big, not just in EU, but all over the world. Muslims and mulah's MUST PROOVE Islam is a religion of peace and tolerance. Time for a clean up of all that negativity that comes from "Islamic jihadists, martyrs, solders of Allah, Islamic freedom fighters, etc. ...". Almost all of them are convinced violence is required by the Quran to pay back evil for evil and as a guidence for their terrorist activities. People definetly don't associate Islam with "Peace and Love" from India to America.... at this time. People from all over the world don't associate Bush with the ideals of "Peace and Love" too. God is the Only True Judge for all.
Can people be really free in a muslim country? When I look at Iran and Saudi Arabia I have the feeling Islam is a religion of dictatorship. In Saudi Arabia there is even religios police monitoring dress codes, peoples behavior, speach etc. That's the image they have .... like it or not. Both countries have embraced Islam to their best. I am sure there is something good in it, but there are crucial things in it for me that I will hardly ever (if ever, I don't like using the word never) be able accept. May be in some in the west when they hear the word Islam it brings them images of Al Qaeda, Iran, Saudi Arabia, jihad, mujahedeens and they don't want their tv station, or show or business to be associated with it. What muslims can do about that? As I said before clean it up from that dirt.
