There are many movies that, you'll question yourself after watching them: "Why wasn't this movie, a blockbuster?" I am sure all of you have asked this question at least once in your life time. Which movie made you ask that? My Indian hero cum director, Kamal Haasan has done many movies which deserved a lot more acclaims, like movies 'Anbey Sivam, Aalavandhan, Hey Ram'. What is your list?
Ghuna, mahanadhi, .... again kamal hasan movies...... Kamal has been very unluky with the box office results.... the last one being Anbe sivam.... which to me is one of the best movies in the last decade or so.... but i dis agree with you on alavandhan.... That was very good technically but the script was silly too bad.... it didn't work out for me....
May be, Aalavandhaan didn't work out for you. But I really felt it, a good movie. Mainly because of the in depth characterization of Nanda Kumar. I should also agree with one and disagree with one to you. I like both of the movie you have stated, but Mahanadhi was a very successful movie. Kamal accepted this.
I only watch HollyWood blockbuster movies. And all of them is deserving to be blockbuster. Maybe other foreign blockbuster movies are somehow fishy
I just wonder whether any hollywood movie hardly doesn't make profit. Which ever movie I take a look, be it good or not, it's gross revenue is atleast 10 times of it's budget.
