Bowling - Good Adsense Site?

    Hello,

I have been bowling since I am about 5 years old so I would say that I know the rules of the game pretty well. I also have learned many tricks and trades to help become a better bowler. I was wondering what you think of having that site for AdSense. I know that where I live if anyone gets bored the first place they go is bowling so maybe this could bring in some extra money for me.

    Suggestions?
    The domain name is: www.learningtobowl.com

Might be a niche site since I don't see much of those lying around. Try developing your site and build a community.

    Cheers and good luck!

Not sure how much the ads will pay but make site and add some affiliate links and you could make some money.

Affiliate links, like links to other bowling sites?
    What are affiliate links exactly?

Not bad niche at all. I'd say go ahead build up a community. Little competition I bet.

Adsense is only one of the ways to earn. So never mind if no targeted ads with Adsense on bowling. Large traffic can always bring in money.

    Good luck!

So there are other ways besides Adsense to make money?

And by a community, do you mean give users the ability to login and discuss bowling?

That's just one of it. Discussion boards are good, but a blog can also be a powerful publishing tool to build a natural community on your specific topic.

Adsense is PPC, and PPC doesn't make a very big portion of money made through websites. Tons of other ways. So don't you worry about that.

You have chosen a good niche and you are very good at it. This is probably the best thing for a person who want to make money online - as far as what I have learnt at DP. You are well on your way now. :)

I predict you will catch more visitors from Google because you said you write articles so your content will be unique. Good luck.

Well thats the thing I was worried about was PPC, but maybe you could contact me or just let me know some other programs to make money with a website. I am very passionate about bowling and I have wanted to put a website together for quite some time like this.

This should be a lot of fun!

I really appreciate all of the help!

Is this bowling or ten-pin bowling. Which is it?

    Another question.

I have seen people recommend getting a community to your website, but what do you think is more effective: a blog or forums?

I was thinking forums since it is such a niche site.
But I would love to hear your opinions.

Do you think I should use blogs for my personal bowling experiences or maybe allow guest writers (if i get returning traffic) to write their own articles on what they have learned?

    Suggestions are always welcome!

Ok, my site is up and running just waiting for Adsense, but now time for an opinion.

On my blog: www dot learningtobowl dot com/blog, where do you recommend that I place ads. I know that I am going to place some in the sponsors section but that seems far down for people who aren't using 1920x1200 or 1680x1050 resolutions.

Any other ideas for good places that you see could blend well?
