As this update complete decimated my most profitable site, I don't really want it to hold. ;-) GG says that a bunch of reinclusions and spam responses went out on Monday -- along with some minor tweaks to the Bourbon tweaks. The last binary update of Bourbon was deployed this weekend, and will be enabled on the datacenters over the course of the next week.
One good thing about the Bourbon update... I am getting a lot more referrals from scraper sites than ever before!
Loving this update, first time in the past 18 months that I'm showing a real presence in Google.. Still got a ways to go, but definitely out of the sandbox!!
I had a mixed bag. One site tanked. One site slipped for some minor words (I am hoping that none of the major ones slip!). And, two sites have come out of the sandbox - or so it seems. I won't hold my breath. I am wondering if the sandbox constraints are lessened with this update or whether it takes a major update to release some pending sites. It just seems like a lot of sites have some out of the box.
interesting. I bet that was part of the problem. I don't think google bots can cross moats. Nevermind moats filled with urine. lesson learned
This URL is currently #3 for "Number Assignment Module": http://www.auditmypc.com/acronym/NAM.asp This page is pathetic. The Bourbon update has made the scraper problem much worse. Since the Bourbon update, I have filled out dozens of spam reports. I should not have to do this. Google's algorithms used to be better.
