Webmasters have been debating whether bounce rates effect search engine rankings or not. Well, the answer is in now. Bounce rates do not affect rankings. The debate has been ended quite brutally by Matt Cutts. Therefore don't worry too much about bounce rates, at least not how they're affecting your rankings.
I think what is being said is also true. If the visitor find what they are looking for in the first place, then the person does not need to look further. That clears a lot of doubt in the end.

Nope, it's not just my view. I linked to the article where Cutts made the quote. Here is the page on Sphinn The people on that thread are getting pretty heated about the bounce rate and then Cutts comes in and says he doesn't even hear people talking about the bounce rate in his daily life. To me this is one of those funny style arguments because people will argue until they're blue in the face without any proof.
