In simple language. It is a % of visitors who opened your site and left without doing anything in your site.

 

Bounce Rate is calculated as:

Bounce(%) = (Total Bounces from the website / Total Landings to the website)*100

 

No, but the concept is simple so the formula shouldn't be complicated. 2 People Enter -> Both Leave 100% Bounce, 2 People Enter, 1 leaves, one explores your site further, then leaves, 50% Bounce rate. 2 People enter, both click further into your site, 0% bounce. Of course, these are simple examples.

 

not so accurate but i sure submission in stumbleupon bounce rate is ++.so dont use mant time submission stumbleupon.

Google calculate all those visit in Bounce rate in which visitor only visit landing page without click in single link to other pages.

 

It only means that 95 percent of those visitors are their loyal followers. There is no other way to explain it in my opinion.

 

Bounce rate is a good indication of a) how relevant your site is to what the visitor is looking for and b) the load time and how quick a user can find the content they need.

Blog users will have a low bounce rate because their sites are mainly text, focused on a specific niche. If this is what the user is looking for they are going to hang about.

But back to the original question, bounce rate is an indication of the percentage/number of users 'bouncing' straight off your site. Simple as that.

 

wow so many answers to the bounce rate. yeah basically you have a high bounce if 1) they found the info they were looking for or 2) did not find what you were offering interesting / or what they were looking for

They need to click on another page on your site to record time spent. if I read my analytics right.

Bounce rates are value which calculate with using stability on your site. If users visit to your home page and without navigating any other pages they bounce from there, is called bounce rate.
