Bounce rate too high, help!

    Hi,

    Our download page, http://www.playedonline.com/download/ receives ~3,000 unique visits per day. Most of the visits are from the searches such as "download games" on Google. For some reason, we're getting a bounce rate of 50%. Any ideas how we can improve our layout and lower the bounce rate?

    i think everything is fine with your layout. site looks really professional. may be half of the clicks are done through click clubs?

    Can't be click clubs they are organic from search engines.

    All the games look gay from the first page, you should have one follow link at the top of the content, which users can click on to do a direct download of the most popular game, or the top three downloads.

    I took your advice. Got the bounce rate down to 40%. I'm happy with the results but I think still it shouldn't be this high. I mean people search "download games" and I have games for download...
