Hello all, As i am new in Seo i am working since last 6 month and i want to know how to decrease bounce rate in analytic. It is increasing day by day (current : 86.67%). So please anyone here who experienced best in analytic guide me in that.
Pop-up ads annoy people. In some rare cases they offer something worth the roadblock, but usually they disrupt the user experience. So avoid them for decreasing bounce rates.
Bounce rate means that people are leaving your website without visiting any other pages. There could be many reasons for this. You should also look at the average time - if it's really short then you know people are also not staying long. You need to look at how people are landing on that page. It may be that it's not what they're looking for - in which case you may be targeting the wrong keywords. It could also be that you're not making the answer to whatever it is they're looking for obvious enough. Don't make people work for an answer because they're much more likely to just give up and find whatever they're looking for somewhere else.
You may have bots visiting your site. Normally they stick around for a very short period of time. There's a way to find out but can't discuss that here.
Inter-linking of content on the website from fresh pages to old pages will help in reducing bounce rate and keep the visitors stay on your website for long. This will also help in improving the Ranking of website on search engines.
You most likely have your link on somewhere that is irrelevant to your site. Example, "Click Here to see what Kay Perry Got for Christmas!" and they click expecting to see that and it goes to your site that is about the latest in gardening tools. Obviously that is made up example but hopefully you can see the point. Sometimes when we get ambitious in SEO and we start getting our links out there they end up in places they really should not be. And if it is a high trafficked source, yes your getting the clicks but then the high bounce rate because immediately people see its not what they thought it was. I am not saying that is what you are doing just throwing it out there as a high possibility. Are you using GA to track your bounce rate?
For example: if one of the post on your website is interesting but it doesn't lead to other pages. It can disengage readers. Try adding other relevant post's links at the bottom of every post so that you would keep your readers engaged. Basically, build more and more quality content and interlink your pages.
-You need to check whether which traffic generation method has the highest bounce rate. If it’s referral traffic, you may have linked from unrelated anchor texts. -Make sure that website optimized for related keywords. -Try to meet the intention of different users like transactional user and informational user.
Ask a lot of questions in your content, to give readers an invitation to participate, instead of just read.
The simplest way (although an annoying UX) is to put your posts across multiple pages. What type of website do you have? It could just be the fact that people are reading the only article they're interested about on their site (which happens)
Basically, bounce rate increase when you have not related content on your webs page. So first i will suggest to update your content which should be related to your services or product. Rest you can do one more thing just increase the internal links in your page. This will help to decrease your bounce rate.
I can suggest you one way to increase your conversion rate is by having more landing pages. And even then you begin to see a high bounce rate increasing on your landing pages, it’s a clear signal pointing your site and content marketing strategy need a serious redesign.
Bounce rate could be rising for the following reasons 1. Your visitors to not find what they came looking for - it means you are not promoting it for the right keywords, or they can't find it on your page. 2. You visitors find the information they very quickly and there is nothing else they want from your site. this is a very unfortunate situation, mostly for pages that provide quick information about something. To handle this situation you need to offer something else which possibly extends the information your visitors came looking for. Like get a free quote, get a free ebook, related information like this one, chat with an assistant now and take them to another page. 3. You have too many ads / images above the fold and people don't scroll down. So work on the design to get that right. 4. Your page takes a long time to load - then work on improving page load time. 5. Other issues may include mobile and browser compatibility. Go to analytics and see your traffic flow, find out where the traffic is dropping. Once you do that fix those issues one by one.
the simplest way is just go to analytics and see from where the people left the site. Change the content , website structure or images.
This typically is not an issue related to Google analytics. You need to see what pages on your website are disliked by users and are triggering users to abandon your website. Consider redesigning your website and then see what happens. This article will help you http://www.cygnet-infotech.com/blog/web-design-development-trends
