I think yes, But the effect is minor. I have also faced 60% approx bounce rate. It is normal. High ounce rate approx 80-90% is bad. Normally 50-60% not a problem. And last bounce rate low means very user friendly site and Google consider it as important. Its common sense. Try to keep bounce rate low as much as possible.
The bounce rate has no effect on SERP because the Google SERPs ranking places great importance on links and ranking depends links. If you have more number of quality links, then you can get good ranks.
Bounce Rate hardly matter for SERPsmore important is the no. of links from which the tarffic is coming..
Let me tell you that not all bounce rates are bad.. Most of the time, bounce rates are goo depending on what kind of site it is.. For example is portal site.. And I hope you are getting what I mean..
Doubt it! In any case my bounce rate stays at 46% - 52%. And I'm sure thats the case with many websites.
Bounce rate is an Internet marketing term used in web traffic analysis. It represents the percentage of visitors who enter the site and "bounce" (leave the site) rather than continue viewing other pages within the same site.
