Bounce Rate 5 % good or bad ??

I've just completed designing my new site some days ago , now it gets average of 120 Visitors/Day .

Bounce rate is usually 5% sometimes it's 7 % .

Is this good enough for a start ? should I maintain the bounce rate at that range or should I work on getting it lower ?

@Anny , I can't for the dp's rules . It's a new niche of warez sites but different download system and custom design .

 

Are you sure it's 5%? Where do you get the data? I never saw such a thing. Better yet use Google Analytics and then tell us your bounce rate.

 

I use getclicky , It's a trusted source .. I also use it for another site and it shows 35 % bounce rate for the other site So The analytics isn't wrong .

 

It was better than the other one visitor there just is not necessarily

 

I got to be honest...I've never seen a 5% bounce rate before. Most good blogs has 50 percent...40 is an excellent bounce rate already. 25 is about the best you can get...5 is unheard off.

 

5% is ok for initial stages. but when your site reach to more than 5000 uv and then you get 5% then its really awesome data.

 

yes my site is like 5 days old , I got 350 visitors yesterday , 6 % bounce rate .. only 24 visitors came from Google .

@ATXsurf , My traffic source is my signature on a Forum I own , Besides youtube , Facebook and google which gets me like 24 visitors from search , not bad for a start . But the strangest part is that all visitors who come from searches are coming from searching the site name exactly .

Wow, that kind of bounce rate is pretty incredible. This means that almost all visitors to your site would surf at least 1 more inner page. This is good and bad. Good if you want low bounce rates and high impressions. Bad if you are on adsense as that means that very few or no one is clicking on your adsense ads.

 

I will be happy if I get 5% - 7%.
