Hi! I bought a domain name on SEDO. Now they (SEDO) tell me they transfered it on their own godaddy account and that i need to initiate a transfer request.

    I don't understand.
How do i initiate a transfer request from my account?
(the domain is in their account)
They gave me an AUTH code.

    Can anyone help me please.
    Thanks a lot!

This doesn't sound right, if it is godaddy to godaddy they should initiate the ownership change and you should get a confirmation email with further instructions.

If it's from another registrar to your account at godaddy then you should initiate the transfer like this:
Click on the godaddy .com transfers special on their front page and follow along.

They transferred it on their own Godaddy account means,Sedo team reserved the domain from the seller securely.
They provided you EPP code means, now you have to initiate the transfer process with that info over any registrar of your choice.

Just go to any registrar site of your choice and initiate the transfer process with nearly one-year renewal price for this domain with the Auth code info.
Alternatively you can request them to change an account transfer with that domain over Godaddy.

    Best of luck.

Ok thanks a lot for the answer! I'll do that right away!
It's my first time buying a domain on SEDO and i have to say that i am still a bit confused why they don't transfer the domain themselves and ask me to initiate a transfer request.
Oh well, if i end up with the domain, it's all that matters :p
    Thanks again

How and where should they transfer ?
You will be the new owner and it’s all about your wish and they are serving the option for you to choose.
Also note that each transfer fees renew the domain for one year over the new registrar.
Still, you can contact them and ask for account transfer at Godaddy.
    Good luck.
