    Dear Community,

I've bought a website on flippa from a fellow internet marketer for quite an amount of money. I think it was a fair deal, I got the rights for some custom written scripts, a ready made ebook and a nice idea. This is the site, was also advertised on dp.
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=12072927

The site also features a free ebook on how to make money with twitter at www.twtscripts.com/eBook.php
If you would like to read it without upting in, just shoot me a PM.

Over the weekend I did some tweekings on that, changed email follow up, created a twitter user for it and started to market it on some relevant blogs.

The previous owner already started a thread here to promote the product here:
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=12016217
He said it was a successful campaign with some leads and sales generated from it.
Question related to here? How much time do I need to wait until it is ethical to post this again in the freebeis category? Or I should not post it anymore?

My question to you dear community would be how to proceed with that site? Should I focus now on marketing or rather building the site adding content? More text on the site? More scripts maybe? Please tear it apart that I can learn from it.

What do you think about the idea?
What do you think about the scripts?
Any thoughts on the book maybe?
Do you have some niche specific marketing thoughts? (good places to promote)

    Thanks,

    Jozep

Nice to see you took the leap to buy a decent site that many people are afraid of. Personally if you didnt fully know what steps youd take to advance the site before you bought it i wouldnt of gone ahead. But as you have just look at what made it successful, do that on a bigger scale, also try to think of a new idea to increase the sites income/value.

You can keep promoting on a regular basis on the forums by posting weekly.

Add some proper targeted keywords to your meta tags etc to get some traffic from search engines, that's a good start. The earlier you do it the better.

Just like the other user stated earlier I kind of think you should have planned a little better but since that didn't happen you can only go forward and try to make the best of it, although Im not so sure if I would keep on posting it on this forum, I may be wrong because Im fairly new to this forum also but I believe you can get banned this way.

    Dear Marketers,

Thank you very much for your comments and suggestions. In the meanmwhile I made significant promotional and link building activities, hope this will help.
About posting in the forum, you say that it is fine if I put up this ebook in the freebies section let's say bi-weekly couple of times or it would be already considered as spam?
I will also start with an article marketing campaign on ezineartizles and buzzle.

Anyways my plan is really to flip this site meaning I might try to sell it in Sept-Oct-Nov somewhere with some backlinks, PR and traffic built up.

    Thanks,

    Jozep
