It's difficult to get ripped off by Adbrite..

However their stats do have some bugs, as they did report one day
a 10 user traffic for my 400-500 uniques Rate the models site

You get the expected number of clicks , and the cost per click by industry..
I have tried them and got what I expected...

Are you getting any traffic ?

Looks as if someone inflated their traffic just to get some ad revenue from Adbrite - they might even have used a click exchange or something

If you look on the Adbrite Marketplace you will see plenty of sites that take 30 day ads from as little as 30c

However you should always remember that banners and text ads etc on other sites are very unlikely to produce much in traffic. There are loads of sites which might charge you for a banner or text ad and you would be lucky to get a single click from them

You paid a very low amount for the traffic that you said you expected - so you need to bear that in mind as well. normal PPC would be maybe 50c per visitor so you wouldnt get too many hits for $3

I would say you should always do a bit of research on alexa or similar over say a 6 month or year to see what is happening to the traffic on the site in question. I would also have a look at where the site is on the search results when you do a search on Google/Yahoo/MSN

I would also avoid sites which have nothing but ads - as anyone that does visit the site will leave pretty quickly if there is no interesting content to keep their attention

However you can get your money back - Im sure Adbrite will refund you if you make a support request to them. If not ring your bank for a "charge back" - they will claim the money back for you

Yeah unfortunately people inflating there stats to charge higher rates happens at a higher than acceptable rate there. I mentioned before, I had one site go from about 6 clicks in a week to about 800 clicks a day. It was ridiculous. Next thing you know they had change all their bids to very high flat rate bids.

Because of the system before just buy traffic or do exchanges, get their numbers up and then hope someone pays for ads on their sites. There system definately needs some work.

had to many simular situations with adbrite, never will use them for advertising again.
Adengage is much better and they would refund money to you in simular cases.
But unfortunatelly, they dont have so much sites as Adbrite does

Adbrite.com is indeed a scam. For publishers and for advertisers too. I tried both of them.

I will just say HORRIBLE results because I am a polite person. But their staff, support, and website sucks.

    Stay away from it.

horrible and sucks are pretty vague terms. So far I've only heard about possible misunderstandings and people expecting to get more than they logically paid for...

this won't be good for companies like adbrite. This will surely affect its reputation. Not many people would like to get scammed like this.
