I bought a cheap web site for ten dollars along with some others sites from different sellers. The one seller has a pay now button but when i try to pay it says this seller does not allow instant payments. I have written to the seller repeatedly about I want the site. I bid and won. It is a good site for me. Do I have any recourse here? Am I being a dope and should just move on? Thanks. a1petsearch.com that is the site i bid on and won. The seller has good trade reputation. Michele
Sorry to hear this. I suggest you to report to admin. they may help you regard in this. Some of them doesn't allow instant payment because of some fraud related issues. hope you will get your website Goodluck
Well, if you bid on the site and won it then the TOS states the site is yours. Now, if the seller does not accept instant payments then that is up to him, however I understand you tried to pay for it but I would contact the admin also and reference this.
When you say "the seller is gone" does that mean he is no longer participating on the Marketplace or just that you cannot contact him? Also, how long have you been waiting to hear back from the seller about making the payment?
gianniweb's is the name of the seller. DP says he was last here on January 11th 2014. I am getting an email from someone else who is telling me out of nowhere that the site is still for sale, thought that might be him. cause the auction was put up by someone? I even sent him my phone number and asked him or her to call. I did take everyones advice and wrote to a moderator who is forwarding it onto an admin. I just hate bothering people but I let sellers off the hook before without clarifying the situation and I notice that the auction, from 2011, is still in my marketplace with a paynow button still live. I don't want that hanging over my head.
He has not been on for 4 months? Sounds like a good indication he is gone alright... if he does not come around often or stopped coming... not sure what a mod or even admin can do for you since they claim not to interfere in such matters, and I do not blame them since they are just a 3rd party between the buyer/seller... If they got tied up in such matters, then it would be endless for them... and I am going to take a stab that you have already sent him a PM regarding this, and he still has not responded... I think his intentions are clear, he must of died, was a bogus listing, or he just flat out changed his mind...
ok I'll just ignore the pay now button on my trader account. I have that other one from years ago. Same situation. Just so no one sees it and thinks I am not a reliable buyer. That is my only concern, my trader rating and online reputation. He did not get what he wanted for the site, I don't blame him for taking a powder. thanks for your common sense. michele
