    I didn't think you were going to answer the questions. It is such a pity. It would be so much more useful if we were comparing apples with apples and dealing in facts rather than wild unrestrained fiction.

    what question? you made up some ideas in your brain and answer them as i had said. google penalized some sites before and still do it. it is not proof of anything.

    It's proof enough that Google takes exception to people profiteering unfairly. They allow a whole lot of ugly stuff to slip through and they do not take action until it becomes unavoidable. If sites get penalised it means they have overstepped the mark. And if botw was one of those which were penalised I doubt you and Google agree on the value they place on the links botw have on offer.

    Canceled my 30 days trial, after all, since Feb 6th, I got 2 visits from that sponsored listing.At the same time I had several free directories sending 20-30 visitors each, had 26 visits from DP Forum and I was'n even active that much. BOTW maybe good but not for traffic.

    Thanks for the great info. i can't imagine 2 clicks only from the well-known web directory.
    people may think twice before paying the expensive listing fee.

    @Khanter - I definitely agree, and unfortunately I think that's exactly what has happened in the case of BOTW and Starting Point recently. I was really considering joining BOTW, but when I started to look at some of the categories, all of them I found are PR UnRanked and SEOMoz 0. I looked at several of the sites listed in the BOTW directory and NONE of those sites were getting any juice from being listed?! Take this for example:

    Random BOTW category:

    /Business/Shopping_and_Services/Photography/Photographers/Wedding_and_Events/Oceania/Australia/Western_Australia/

    I looked at the first 3 sites in this category.. Using SEOMoz linkscape, none of them are getting any juice from being listed in BOTW. Am I looking at this data wrong, or have the glory days of BOTW passed...?
