    BORN Foreign?

Not trying to be rude, but this post is for those above the $5/500 words, and not bidding on low range writing.

Lets say for example you were born in India and learned English very well.
    1. what percent of your business comes from US & UK and why?
    2. do you get paid less from your business in your native country? If so why do you feel so?
    3. (optional) Right now I am trying to help quite a few non-American born writers move up. So I need to know your opinion. Should they concentrate on their native country or US/UK? And explain.

Thanks for you understanding how this will help others get ahead----------------------------

They should focus globally, because it is a global Internet.

Funny thing is that there practically is no Dutch online writing industry, yet I get plenty of Dutch orders from US citizens targeting the Dutch market :D

One has to appreciate the irony in that :D

    I am a Filipino.

    1. What percent of your business comes from US & UK and why?
    > 70% from US and UK; 30% from the Philippines. Writing demands in the Philippines is very rare. The 30% article request is from one person only; the 70% from the US/UK are from four customers.

    2. Do you get paid less from your business in your native country? If so why do you feel so?
    > Yes, my friend pays almost half the price of what I get from foreign customers. I think it is because of the law of supply and demand. The demand for articles here in the Philippines is very low, so the price goes down with it. Besides, he is my friend; I can do it for free.

    3. (optional) Right now I am trying to help quite a few non-American born writers move up. So I need to know your opinion. Should they concentrate on their native country or US/UK? And explain.
    > Concentrating on my country is NOT a good idea, because there is not much demand for articles here in the Philippines.

    Indian here:
    1. Both US and UK combined it amounts to 25%. I dont have a specific reason here as I have been creating content on a day-to-day basis for a couple of Indian webmasters for more than 2 years now, and it is this loyalty factor that is actually preventing me to move on despite the fact my compensation didn't grow.

That being said, I don't have my sight set on writing articles/reviews/PRs forever too. Actually at crossroads
