Boring Homepage Interesting Subdomains

    My homepage simply 6 images no text ,, and these 6 images link to subdomains,
    my question is will that effect my ranking because my homepage boring , no text ,, and there is no new content ,, or its fine as long the sub domains r doing well?
    Do i need to add text links?
    do i need to add some new content to the home page everyday to help?

    I think texts do help getting better ranks. You can always change the design of your homepage if you need.

    In a word, yes. If you want your homepage to rank well, you will need to change it, as it is the worst possible page from an SEO point of view.

    Start by adding alt tags, then if possible expand the page into a richer format. It does not need to be updated often.
