I didn't know some of those tricks. The one for numbers near but under 100 is awesome. :)

Yeah - there so many other tricks - these are the simplest ones. I wish this all they teach in the schools - makes life so easy!

some of the first link is how I have been doing math and people looked at me cross-eyed if I try to explain it to them. I sent the link to my wife to show her what I meant all these years.

I thought myself quicks ways to add, subtract multiply, etc when I was doing deliveries and had to write down orders really quickly in my car. You'd be amazed that people couldn't quicky figure out that

    19.95
    19.95
    19.95

was just 59.85 by looking at it. Had to explain its so much easier to add up $60 then take away 15 cents. People were rounding the whole time 15 carry 1 ... 27 + 1 carry the 2. Drove me bonkers LOL

I didn't actually know this was a math thereom, I thought i figured this out all on my own!

11 * 11 = 121 , but you can also get there by doing 10 * 10 + 10 + 11. That works. Works better for weird ones like 81*81 or something. But its interesting, nonetheless. Not sure why it works, but it does :)

Thats called thinking "inside" the box :) and what you were doing was/is thinking "outside" the box - such a thing at interviews today - can you think outside the box - this is the best way to test the person whether he/she really things outside the box :)

And what you were doing is very natural way of thinking. Read more on Vedic Math and you will find out why it is super cool. :)
