Bootstrap landing page

    Hi all,

    This is my first post here so I would like to say hello to everyone.

    I am learning HTML/CSS and building different websites. Recently I was asked to create landing page for some startup. I was googling a lot and found this article:

    They also offers a free landing page which I could customize. I wanted to ask you - do you think that it is good idea ? Do you know any other sites like this?

    A strong landing page is always a good idea - but I would be wary of any free templates - the most important thing to check (IMO) is that there is no included branding within the landing page template or embeded links to their site.

    Good luck with the new HTML/CSS :)

    I personally wouldn't mind having design-by links embedded or even branding as long as it doesn't eat the whole design up. Sometimes when I come across a nice design I like checking out the designer's website.

    That landing page does look pretty good. If it works with your site and isn't widely over-used then it could be a good choice!

    It would better hire some one from fiverr at minimum cost except using free template. Coze there may have any junk file that will affect your server.

    Why wouldn't you just start with bootstrap it self? they are offering a starter templates check here http://getbootstrap.com/getting-started/#template

    I agree with both Dwan and abukwaik

    Hire a fiverr to setup a bootstrap landing page for you. For $5 you'll have a great looking webpage that's mobile optimized.

    I think you're misunderstanding front-end with back end tecnhologies. Front-end won't communicate with server (supposing that you're not using ajax), wtf ? Server never cares about images,.css,.html,.js.

    Bootstrap is great for creating responsive websites and it's pretty easy to learn. Also, there are a good amount of free and inexpensive bootstrap templates available that are really good.
