What is it? BlogOnExpo is an online conference for bloggers. When launched on January 15th, 2008, the conference will feature sessions that all relate to blogging and how to improve one’s blog. It will have keynote interviews with some of the leaders in the blogging world including Robert Scoble, Peter Cashmore of Mashable.com, Ryan Block of EnGadget, Jason Chen of Gizmodo, Ben Popken of The Consumerist, Marshall Kirkpatrick, a former writer for TechCrunch and a current writer for ReadWriteWeb, Darren Rowse of ProBlogger.com, Rand Fishkin of SEOMoz.com, John Chow of JohnChow.com, Neil Patel of PronetAdvertising.com, Jeremy Schoemaker of ShoeMoney.com, and others. Individuals like Guy Kawasaki, David Sifry, the founder of Technorati, and Matt Mullenweg, one of the founders of Wordpress have agreed to be interviewed as well. Below are the various advertising packages that we offer. The conference will be held for 1 week with a fixed amount of sessions being added daily, and all sessions and sponsorships will be available for at least 3 months until the next conference launches. During this time the blog will remain in operation to keep visitors coming back to the site. A big part of the conference experience is social networking and for that reason we will be setting up a forum to help foster networking. Our forum will also stay in operation after each conference. Why Advertise? BlogOnExpo is a great way to reach tens of thousands of bloggers, webmasters, and other tech-savvy individuals. If you offer products or services that cater to those who operate their own websites/blogs or are knowledgeable about the Internet, BlogOnExpo is an effective and inexpensive way to reach your target market. If you have ever advertised at a business conference before, advertising at BlogOnExpo will enable you to reach a far greater audience at a lower cost. There is no fee required to attend the BlogOnExpo conference and anybody with an Internet connection can access the content. As a result, you will reach the professionals you tend to find at a standard business conference, but you will also advertise to large groups of bloggers and entrepreneurs who are unable to attend other conferences due to location/price. Therefore, your advertisements will reach a far larger audience than they would at a traditional conference. In addition, our advertising rates are considerably lower than most conferences. (Most other conferences in this industry charge $2000+ per booth) To promote the Expo, we have started to generate buzz by increasing awareness of the Expo in the blogging community. We have been guest posting and making our presence known on some of the leading blogs and forums about blogging including ProBlogger.net, JohnChow.com, JohnTP.com, Shoemoney.com, NorthxEast and others. In addition, advertisers pay based on performance. If the expo does not achieve 150,000 page views in the time that your ad runs, you only pay the down payment (the number in parentheses). If the expo does receive 150,000 page views, the remaining payment will be collected. We anticipate receiving much more than 150,000 page views. The down payment is offered to you as a form of reassurance and to help insure that you get the highest return on your advertising investment. Those interested can send me a private message or respond here and I will contact you. Thanks
